When it comes to catering, there are three choices you need
to make before we can provide you with an estimate:
1) Your menu - What do you want and how many servings?
2) The type of catering - "Drop Off" or "Full Service" or a hybrid between
the two?
3) The type of serviceware - Standard (free), Upgraded or Real China?
For our drop off catering service, everything is 100% disposable, so nothing
needs to be returned. Your only additional cost is a tip to the driver
for running everything out to you.
We can also do more of a "full-service" type of catering with chafing
dishes, etc., but since this takes more work on our end, there would be
additional fees on top of the food prices for this type of service.
You have to consider what you want to take of and what you
want your caterer to handle. This usually comes down to a decision between
your budget vs. convenience.
For full service catering, we bring everything (including chafing dishes)
with us, we provide a server to stick around and make sure the buffet line
is well stocked, and then we bring back all our tongs, chafing dishes, etc.
We charge a setup/cleanup fee for renting all the chafing dishes, etc. We
also charge a 15% gratuity (every penny of which goes to your server) and we
also charge $10/hr for your server fee.
And finally, you need to consider what kind of serviceware you'd like us to
use. You can go with our standard serviceware at no extra charge, or you can
upgrade to our disposable plastic serviceware.
This is what we use at our
banquet room for wedding receptions.
It's still disposable, but it looks nicer: 6" clear plastic scrollware
plates for salads (and desserts), 9" clear plastic scrollware plates for the
main course, and clear plastic forks, knives and spoons. This upgraded
serviceware would cost you an extra 50 cents per serving.
Or you can go with real plates and silverware. We have to rent these items,
so they will run you an additional $2 per serving to cover rental fees and
cleanup.
Look over all the food prices on our menus and also consider these
additional fees for your delivery and service options so we can start going
over your specifics.
Once we get your details, we can provide you with a more
exact quote. But hopefully all this information will at least give you
enough to get started.
